Description:

Recombinant Human CCL7/MCP-3 is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 76 amino acids.

Background: Human CCL7, also known as monocyte chemotactic protein 3 (MCP-3), belongs to the CC chemokine family. MCP-3 has two homogeneous MCP-1 (CCL2) and MCP-2 (CCL8). These three MCPs were found by IL-1-beta triggered human MG-63 osteosarcoma cells. CCL7 shares 71 % and 58 % a.a. sequence identity with MCP-1 and MCP-2, respectively. CCL7 has chemotactic function for monocytes and eosinophils, but not for neutrophils. In addition, it can also chemoattract activated NK cells.

>97% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses.

Biological Activity:

Fully biologically active when compared to standard. The ED50 determined by a chemotaxis bioassay using human monocytes is in a concentration range of 10-100 ng/ml.

Endotoxin Level:

Less than 1EU/µg of rHuMCP-3/CCL7 as determined by LAL method.

Reconstitution:

Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Add sterile distilled water or aqueous buffer to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Further dilutions should be made in appropriate buffered solutions.

Storage/Stability:

Stable at 2-8°C, but best kept desiccated -20°C. Upon reconstitution, stable for up to 1 week at 2-8°C. For longer term, store in working aliquots below -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
