Description:

Recombinant Human CTGF (98 aa) is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide containing 98 amino acids. This lower molecular weight isoform contains the C-terminal portion of the full length CTGF protein and exerts full heparin binding, cell adhesion, and mitogenic CTGF activity.

Background: Connective Tissue Growth Factor is a member of the cysteine rich regulatory proteins and is the major mitogenic and chemoattractant protein produced by umbilical vein and vascular endothelial cells. CTGF plays a role in chondrocyte proliferation and differentiation, cell adhesion in many cell types, and is related to platelet-derived growth factor.
