Erythropoietin (EPO), a glycoprotein produced primarily by the kidney, is the principal factor that regulates erythropoiesis by stimulating the proliferation and differentiation of erythroid progenitor cells. Recombinant Human EPO produced in CHO cells contains 166 amino acid residues.
