Synonyms:

Transforming Growth Factor-alpha

Species:

Human

Cat. No.:

VM005 pdf (datasheet)

Quantity/Size:

5 mg

Description:

Human TGF-alpha is a growth factor that is a ligand for the epidermal growth factor receptor, which activates a signaling pathway for cell proliferation, differentiation and development. This protein may act as either a transmembrane-bound ligand or a soluble ligand.

Recombinant Human L-TGF-alpha is an analogue of human TGF-alpha developed specifically for supplementation of mammalian cell culture to support the survival and proliferation of cells in serum-free or low serum culture. It can be used as a like-for-like replacement for native or recombinant TGF-alpha. It comprises the human TGF-alpha amino acid sequence plus a 14 amino acid N-terminal extension peptide.
