Description:

Recombinant Human PDGFR-beta, cytosolic region, with a GST tag.

Background: PDGFR-beta is a cell surface tyrosine kinase receptor for members of the platelet-derived growth factor family. These growth factors are mitogens for cells of mesenchymal origin. The PDGF isoforms AA, BB, AB, CC, and DD are dimeric molecules. They bind two receptor molecules simultaneously and dimerize them upon binding. PDGFR-alpha binds the A, B, and C chains of PDGF with high affinity, whereas PDGFR-beta binds the B and D chain with high affinity.

Formulation:

Liquid in 50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0 + 100 mM NaCl + 1 mM DTT.

Specific Activity:

3 units/µg (1 unit is defined as transfer of 1 pmol phosphate to the substrate peptide KKKSKDESVDYVPMLDMKG per minute at 30°C).

Storage/Stability:

Store for 1 year at -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Application notes:

The GST Tag facilitates the protein‘s application in typical GST pull-down assays.
