DRD1 encodes the G-protein coupled receptor D(1A) dopamine receptor (DRD1). The D1 subtype is the most abundant dopamine receptor in the central nervous system where it regulates neuronal growth and development, mediates some behavioral responses, and modulates dopamine receptor D2-mediated events. D1 and D5 receptors are a subset of the dopamine receptor G-protein-coupled receptor family that also includes D2, D3 and D4. The two receptor subtypes D1 and D5 are highly homologous and very few ligands are selective between them. The receptor is available in the following formats: stable over-expression cell line, membrane preparation, or purified receptor in HEK293 or CHO. Various tagged versions are available.
