NPY2R encodes the protein known as Neuropeptide Y receptor type 2. Neuropeptide Y (NPY) receptors are a family of Gi/o-protein-coupled receptors that are currently divided into four subtypes: Y1, Y2, Y4 and Y5. These receptors mediate a diverse range of biological actions including stimulation of food intake and modulation of circadian rhythm. Diseases associated with NPY2R include Body Mass Index Quantitative Trait Locus 11. Among its related pathways are peptide ligand-binding receptors and Circadian rhythm related genes. The receptor is available in the following formats: stable over-expression cell line, membrane preparation, or purified receptor in HEK293 or CHO. Various tagged versions are available.
