GPR87 encodes the G-protein coupled receptor 87, located in a cluster of G proteincouple receptor genes on chromosome 3. The encoded protein has been shown to be overexpressed in lung squamous cell carcinoma. It is a receptor for lysophosphatidic acid (LPA). GPR87 is necessary for p53 dependent survival in response to DNA damage. An important paralog of this gene is P2RY14. The receptor is available in the following formats: stable over-expression cell line, membrane preparation, or purified receptor in HEK293 or CHO. Various tagged versions are available.
