Description:

Human Cancer Antigen 125 (CA-125) is one of the largest members of the mucin family of glycoproteins. It is a membrane-associated protein that can be released from the cell surface by undergoing proteolytic cleavage. CA-125 may be elevated in the blood of patients with specific types of cancers or other benign conditions. CA-125 is the most frequently used biomarker for ovarian cancer detection.
