Acyl-coenzyme A (CoA) dehydrogenases (ACADs) are a family of mitochondrial enzymes that catalyze the first dehydrogenation step in the bets-oxidation of fatty acyl-CoA derivatives. Several human ACADs exist and all ACADs catalyze the same initial dehydrogenation of the substrate at the beta-carbon atom and require electron transfer flavoprotein as an alectron acceptor. ACAD8 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 416 amino acids (23-415) and having a molecular mass of 45.1kDa. ACAD8 is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus.
