Description:

Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF) is a mitogen that is secreted by vascular endothelial cells. CTGF plays a role in chondrocyte proliferation and differentiation, and mediates heparin- and divalent cation-dependent cell adhesion in many cell types including fibroblasts, myofibroblasts, endothelial and epithelial cells. CTGF also enhances fibroblast growth factor-induced DNA synthesis. It is related to platelet-derived growth factor.

Recombinant Human CTGF contains a total of 329 amino acid residues, including aa 27-249 and a C-terminal 6x His tag.
