Description:

Glial Cell Line-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (GDNF) is a neurotrophic factor that is closely related to other neurotrophic factors, such as Neurturin, Persephin, and Artemin, by a common structural feature called the cysteine-knot. GDNF signals through a multicomponent system of receptors that includes RET and GFRα1-4, to promote dopamine uptake, survival and differentiation of neurons.

Reconstitution:

Centrifuge vial prior to opening. Add sterile distilled water to a concentration of 0.1 mg/mL. DO NOT VORTEX. Allow several minutes for complete reconstitution.

Storage/Stability:

Upon receipt, store as supplied at -20°C to -80°C for up to one year. Upon reconstitution, the preparation is stable for up to 1 month at 2-8 °C, 3 months at -20°C to -80°C. For long term storage dilute to working aliquots containing 0.1% BSA and store at -20°C to -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
