IL-2R alpha is one of the three constituent subunits of the IL2 receptor and is released into the serum after increased cellular expression such as activation of B and T cells. Clinical manifestations of IL-2R alpha elevation include autoimmune conditions and some leukemias and lymphomas.

Recombinant Human IL-2R alpha is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 192 amino acids (aa 22-213) corresponding to the mature protein with an amino terminal 6x histidine tag.
