Synonyms:
Recombinant Rat Interleukin-17F, IL-17F
Description:
Interleukin 17F (IL-17F) is one of six members of the IL-17 family (IL-17A-F) secreted by
activated CD4+ T cells and monocytes. Similar to IL-17A, IL-17F binds to the IL17 RC
receptor and promotes the production of IL-6, IL-8, G-CSF and increases matrix turnover
rates. IL-17F is also thought to inhibit angiogenesis and induce endothelial cells to
produce IL-2, MCP-1 and TGF-β1. Recombinant rat IL-17F is a non-glycosylated,
disulfide-linked homodimer.
